July 25, 2011 _ I've been working away and enjoying summer in my new city. So far, so good!

This is an old-fashioned landline. There is also a very quaint answering machine attached to it.
I promise to call you (or email) promptly if you use these old-timey devices but I've decided that when I'm NOT in the office, I only want to do NON-OFFICE activities.
Apologies if that sticks uncomfortably in anyone's craw...

Feb 1, 2011 _ Oh Boy! Big news for my family of two.
My other half got a full-time/post-student job! This means we're moving again. And soon! We knew that our stay in Guelph might be short but we didn't think it would be quite this short...
We're off to Ottawa (Canada's capital city!) This is a permanent placement so my location should remain more stable after this.
I'll be working until mid/late March, then have a couple weeks off to move and organize, back at the drawing board early April.

Jan 14, 2010 _ Well. Setting up in Guelph took longer than anticipated. My move-in was delayed by an "ugly floor surprise" and I spent the first week here trying to stay out of the way of the renovation crew. All is well now. Dec 14, 2009 _ Happy Holidays!! We're currently packing up our life and preparing to move. It's been 5 magical years out here on the east coast and we'll miss it dearly but we're also looking forward to unpacking in Guelph, Ontario after January 1st.
During the holiday season I'll be displaced and desk-topless. Illustration-wise, I'll be out of commission.
Vacations - fun but busy. Glad to be back at the drawing board and computer.
I'm off to my homeland for family visits until Aug. 15th.
I look forward to drawing for the world again after that!

June 1, 2009 _ I created an alter-ego and started a new sketchblog: Lucknow Now. It's just a place to put random stuff/try new stuff/be sloppy/etc. I'll probably be fairly sporadic with posting during the summer because it's busy and best to get outdoors when one can... but come fall I'll be more regular.

June 29, 2008 _ We're off again! This time until July 8th....
I'll be holidaying in Rhode Island while my husband attends a conference. Then the husband will holiday in NYC while I attend the ICON5 Illustration Conference!
This will be the last of my travels for the summer and then I promise to stay at my drawing board!!
